Major Amtrak Derailing -- and a Milan crash?

What is going on... We just had a Amtrak train derailing (holding 400 people and even cars onboard. and now, I hear a small plane hit a 32-story structure in Milan.

CNN is saying "Italian officials say the plane's 68-year-old pilot had reported a "small problem" getting his landing gear down and turned in the wrong direction when controllers put him in a holding pattern."

For a second, I was wondering... geez.

I was quite fearfull myself... I was kind of worried that maybe an attack on the prison here was gonig to happen @_@

Hmm.. I hadn't heard those stories, Z! Interesting! Guess we're all still a bit jumpy from 9-11, huh?

The "official" news channels here in the DC area say that both were just accidents, tragic accidents but that is all. So far none of the other sources I use have said anything different.

The news report I heard(about the Milan incident) said that the tower was talking to the pilot the whole time and all they knew was that he started out with landing gear problems then things got worse as they went along.
