Just wondering if anyone else has read this. I realise that nominally they are aimed at "young adults", but this guy is amazing and should be read by anyone with an ounce of imagination . Just finished book two of the trilogy and I'm off to get the concluding volume asap.

Mousey! Am still in part two (The Subtle Knife) myself, and I agree, it's a wonderful series, very clever and original! Lyra's a GREAT protagonist. I believe there have been topics on Pullman before in this forum... maybe a search will turn them up?

Well, I thought I was a little old to read them, but i'm got my dad started on them now! The best one of the lot has to be "the amber spyglass", although "northern lights" blows my mind every time i read it

Those books are awesome! I finished awhile ago and I'm saving up to buy the trilogy. I was desperate for a read because I go through books so fast. But these took me a whole week.
