Hey all! You know what I hate it when the power goes out... Everyone asks for an audience for the broadway practice, and suddenly the power goes out. I hope that doesn't happen at the real thing this Saturday. (BTW I think that there is no chance in h*ll that they'll be *completely* ready by Saturday) Good luck to em anyway. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Sorry to interupt anything but I'd like to ask a question which I thought wasn't important enough to be a thread. I'd like to get something clear before I start, this is NOT an attention post, this is not a self pity post and this is not a whining post. I merely want to ask a question, a simple one too. Does anyone here know me? Seriously, does anyone know Sigmar or what his personality is. "Of course I" do you might say he's a board member who always hangs around in general discussion, but you don't know anything about me. Could you describe me in three words, I doubt it. Do you know my first name, do you know my interests, I don't think so.
The odds are the answers to the questions above are going to be no, and if that is the case let me ask you. What the hell have I been doing here at Ironworks for the last year? I mean in one year I've managed to help a couple of members in the Bg2 board, and THATS IT! Input in discussions-very little, roleplaying-none. I mean I feel like there's no one I can call (and believe me I mean no offence to anyone) a friend, many nice aquantinces yes but no friends. Has it all been a waste of time? Perhaps its been because I haven't taken part in too many discussions (as shown by my low rank) but it may be more. Or perhaps you find me annoying and if so I'd appreciate it if you told me why. Remember this is not a self-pity post I merely wish to see anyone knows me, well thanks for reading all of this. I don't know why I posted this, it's just looking back at what I've done here it all seems kinda pointless. I'd appreciate any input, thanks.

Why? Well.... Post more so that we get more of an idea about what you like, what your opinions are and such. Posting in the Cafe is a good way to get known quickly [img]smile.gif[/img] Heh, I doubt that many people know me either, don't worry about it [img]tongue.gif[/img]

sigmar, sorry to hear that you are in a bad mood. ive also been angry about such stuff. ofcourse, i cannot describe you, just as nobody can describe me. its not been a complete waste hanging around here. you learn faster typing speed, get to know more english and take part in interesting and smart topics. hmm, what brought this up, Sigmar?

Good points Neb, but Its just kind of hard to but into a conversation when people you don't know are talking to each other.

What brought this up you ask, well I was thinking about how its been a year since I joined Ironworks and how great that was. But then it hit me, the fact that I have been here for a year and how I'm unknown to everyone. Seriously if I left tommorow never to return, no one would remember. No one would remember Sigmar and say "hey do you remember that great thread" or "Do you remember Sigmar?" OK not many people get this either, but I don't know it all seems pointless now.

As for the rank thing look at when you joined and when I joined Uss.

Sigmar...sometimes you have to tell people about yourself and interact...and that does involve posting. The other thought is I could be a 500 lbs Mexican Woman and no one here would know the difference...even if I sent a pic in, it could be anybody...there are only a few people here who really know me, and I've been here since 1-3-01...but that is mostly because I'm really hesitant about personal issues and mostly I just try to have fun and post whimsical things.

Suggestions? If you want to have people get to know you, post things directly at people. Like if you were to ask Cloudy what the weather is, chances are she will respond to you in some way. Unless she misses the post, but you know what I mean...just start talking to people and pick a few that you enjoy reading their posts and talk to 'em. Just like in RL...

And if you really want to get people to know you, post in some of the more thought provoking threads (hint, follow anything Yorick is in... ) and tell people what you think.
