Hello could someone please tell me:-
>how experience is shared for multi classes > how multiclassing works in IWD II,also could anyone give me any tips for the prologue (the part of the game when the goblins, worg, and kind of sharman attack Targos for the second time in particular)because I seem to have trouble keeping my party alive >is there particurlar quest in the prologue that gives more XP then other quests >does the game play or run any better with a processor higher than 1ghz >does the game still share experience between your party the same as IWD 1 >how are 3rd edition rules different to 2nd edition rules Has anyone ever tried throwing a fire potion at some goblins and higher level types of goblins that the soldiers are near to kill the enemys then finding out that people want to kill your party because of an honest mistake in potion attack distance [ 12-31-2002, 08:44 AM: Message edited by: suttle ] |

1. Multiclassing: it has changed totally from 2nd ed. In 3rd ed you can choose a new class every time you level up - so no 'sharing'. You lvl up at the same xp amount regardless of class. (although race may affect it). You can incur an xp penalty for multiclassing if the two classes are more than two lvls apart and none of them are the characters favoured class.
lvl 3 rouge/ lvl 1 ranger would get a penalty unless either ranger or rogue is his favoured class lvl 3 sorcerer/ lvl 1 monk/ lvl 1 paladin would get a penalty unless sorcerer is his favoured class (hope this wasn't too confusing ) 2. Prolouge: make sure to talk to everybody with a name. And here is a walkthough that will give you all the quests: http://www.skullport.com/games/iwd2/solve/solve.shtml Tip 1: give one charaster (with high hp) some good armor and have him run up to the enemies and then away again. The enemies will then chase him around, while the rest of the party can stand back and shoot them with missile weapons. Tip 2: the sleep spell works great against goblins. 3. Processor-speed: I have a 1,1 GHz and it runs just fine. 4. xp-sharing: yes - f.x. a goblin worth 37 xp would give the first chararter 7 xp and the rest 6 xp each. 5. Diffences in rules: sorry too many for me to give a brief summary. 6. Potions: If you harm a friendly NPC, he will turn hostile. just reload and try again. (luckily you won't have that problem a lot - you won't find that many friends - but plenty of enemies )
