That would have been fitting, but no, it was in another thread in the BG 2 Forum

Well...in the old lotus-1-2-3, WYSIWYG means: What You See IS What You Get. The older versions do not have an accurate previews so printing out sheets is a matter of guessing. But with the WYSIWYG version, the correct previews on the screen is 99% accurate of the final printout.

In Warhammer 40K WYSIWYG means what you see is what you get. If you're fielding a space marine in terminator armor with a psychic hood and a force rod the miniature needs to reflect the wargear the model is supposed to be carrying.

That's the only place I've ever heard the term, which is pronounces "wissy-wig"

The irony is that what you see is not what you get with an acronym.

WYSIWYG originated with desktop publishing applications, soon transferred over to desktop productivity software such as word processors.

WYSIWYG is absolutely essential in DTP, so you don't have to keep running off proofs to see how your work is progressing.

Heh, sorry to confuse you, daan .

Alan_Sephiroth asked for events in BG2, and we explained it. He got what he sought, and he found it too confusing and yelled.
I altered that acronym to fit the situation, just a silly pun .

Hmmmm. I always thought "What you see is what you get!" was a line from Flip Wilson dressed as Geraldine on the Flip Wilson Show.

Anyone know what Flip is doing these days?
