Good, old fashioned fun sci-fi !

tongue-in-cheek, full of hokey tech stuff, and lot's of great characters, many which are blatant carictatures of other fictional characters.

This series has gone on too long, his last ones are not as fresh, but the early parts of the series are fun...

Check them out...

The Stainless Steel Ratis out of print, so are the first 5 or six of the series... (there are 10 books in all)

I've got the entire series in .txt format, if you are interested, I can eamil them to you as needed.

The .zip file for the first one is 122K, so it can be easily attached in an email...

Let me know if you'd like it...

Stainless Steel Rat is the first, yes, but he did a prequel called A Stainless Steel Rat is Born which is very good indeed.
And yes, the earlier SSR books are better than the later ones - they get rather TOO over the top! They are all worth reading though! If you cannot find them to purchase in regular book stores, try either specialist sc-fi & fantasy bookshops like Andromeda, or your local Public Library.
Books in the hand are MUCH more comfortable to read than text on the screen!

Also, let's not forget the mom-and-pop used bookstores !!! There are treasures to be found in those walls !!!
