How am I? Well, I'm kind of overcast, too. Must be the fact that I had very few billable hours yesterday - as evidenced by the more-than-usual amount of I posted here. But, for me that's just time wasted. Whether I sit all day with nothing to do or not, I have to bill 2000 hours this year.
Well, at least today I've got something to keep me busy. Otherwise, good morning all. |

Afternoon all!
The weather here in London is GORGEOUS! 17 Celcius, everyone has left their jackets at home today it is so nice. I am shopping for summer clothes at the weekend (birthday prezzie from my mum, tho I think she's dreading going shopping with me, I'm a bit fussy) so everyone had better have brollies on standby cos that will almost certainly trigger the end of summer here Had my hair cut this morning and i feel great - I love having my hair done. It's now really quite short - in a bob that comes to my earlobes at the sides, and very angled - much shorter and layered up the back to a maximum length of 2 inches at the top. So for the first time in my life my neck is nekked and I luv it, was getting lots of male attention as I was wandering round the West End afterwards and some poor sod nearly crashed his scooter cos he was looking at me instead of the road. The wonders of a new haircut and a short skirt LOL. Anyway I am feeling a bit manic and hyper cos of the gorgeous gorgeous sunshine, on top of the world.

Morning all.
Cloudy, was wondering if your experience with your kitty would help me with my problem. My "little darling" (and I say that sarcastically after her behavior of late) has now begun where she looks rabid after I give her the pill. I know it's not an allergic reaction because she starts slobbering (foaming) even before I give her the pill if she knows it's coming, and she stops immeadiately if food appears. I've found some pills on the floor, so apparently when she does this, the pill sometimes comes back up, which defeats the whole purpose. Any suggestions on how to stop or combat this? I was hoping maybe one of your little ones have done something similar and you know how to handle it. It's REALLY gross, even freaks out the younger one when she does it. Thanks, sorry to gross the rest of you out while having your breakfast and lunch Edit: I would just give her food afterwards, but she needs to diet. harley, it could be she just anticipates the taste and experience, or it could be the pill itself does that to her. I had one med a kitty took that tasted so bad that it made him froth like that(vet told me about the taste thing..I didn't try it myself!). Ask your vet, maybe he or she can get you some of the capsules I mentioned earlier, or alternatively, you could ask if mashing the pill into a liquid (cat milk or water) and giving it with a dropper is possible. Some cats will eat meds on food and some won't. I was lucky when Merlin and Inga were tiny kittens because they'd eat the liquid amoxy in their canned food. Not anymore, mind you!
What solved that issue was putting the pill into an empty gelatin capsule (size 2 I think) and giving it to him that way. Never had to worry after that, he only put up token resistance and got a 'treat' right afterwards. I always associate the meds with a favorite treat IMMEDIATELY afterwards as it helps calm them down (like you noted with feeding yours!). Sometimes it's a piece of chicken, or a favorite cat treat, sometimes a spoonful of babyfood or fancy feast...just depends on the kitty and his/her preferences.

The Wolf thread really did go downhill, didn't it? Erm...I seem to the be one responsible for the Parakeet thread taking a sharp turn South. I edited my posts and posted a retraction. Seems that I have a pretty solid talent for pissing people off. Anyway...on to something more cheery. It's a pleasant day here, mid 50's, and supposed to get up to low 60's. I'm in shorts!! And the best part of that is, last summer, these very same shorts were so tight that I was afraid to move in them, but now I'm completely comfortable in them and they are actually loose enough that I have to wear a belt. YAY!!!!!!!!

Afternoon, all. Timber, just sneak in a post and tell 'em you were researching the history of Barratry and Soccage-in-fief. Good afternoon, everybody.
