For general info: I've posed the question to Ziroc as to what benchmark to use for font/resolution when figuring numbers of lines, as that is a valid concern.


Ornery One, btw you me and the lampost, I'd say yours wasn't a problem but I think I'll wait to see what the Webmaster says about benchmarks and such and then we can check with him. In view of the shortness of the lines and it's only text, I don't think your sig makes people have to scroll much to read a thread. [img]smile.gif[/img]

But seriously Cloud, tell me something but don't get upset or anything. Just gemme a plain answer. (and not the one stated as such "Because I said so.") What's it matter how long or big someone's sig is, as long as you can read the post, does it make that big of a difference. It's not like my sig is lagging someone to death (considering it is as big as yours mind you [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

This is based on pure assumption here, so don't go all beserk on me. I believe Ziroc wishes to limit sig sizes based on the server size. If we all had enormous signatures, the server would be overloaded, and hence IW would be slower. I think that sounds right, I hope so at least [img]tongue.gif[/img]

If everyone did longer text sigs as they used to do in some cases, it makes the pages cumbersome to navigate.
