Let's see:

Starfox Assault was vastly overrated, good game, but too short. Lack of multiple paths cut down on replay value as well. Its only shining spot is it's addictive multi-player mode, and the unlockables for it.

The Harry Potter movies are also fairly overrated. I still seethe over them taking out the poltergeist, Peeves. They took out too much of the humor and as a result the movies feel markedly darker than the books. (This will only get worse as the books themselves get darker)

And shadowhound, I wouldn't say American beer was overrated -- we all know it sucks, and I've never heard someone espouse his passionate love of American beer over, say, German beer ...

The whole Wheel of Time series. It went from a mediocre first book to progressively slower and less interesting follow-ups, filled with annoying and pointless characters who seem more and more incapable of actually getting anything done. It also seem sto be one of those books that, while trying to create strong and interesting female characters, instead inspires a seething hatred of the entire female population. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Diablo 2. Yeah, it was a cool game... It's not the be-all and end-all of games, though, or or even just of action-RPGs.

Foreign countries. People all around the world are just as stupid as folks back home, wherever you are - they may be stupid in new and fun ways, but don't expect the average guy off the street to be much better.

Aurora Borialis...Northern Lights: It's not worth travelling from Japan to Iceland to see them, believe you me...

Then again I see them almost every week in the winter here so my point might be a little askewed [img]smile.gif[/img]
