honest oppinon here, I have arthritist, and have not found one that works like it says, the closest one was one that had big handles, and big gears, that is the best I can offer, mine came from the dollar store, and it works better than the name brands, because it is easier to hold on to, and uses less force than the smaller ones

edit, also get ones with plastic or rubber grips, meatal tends to cuse more pain, because they are harder to hold on to

Yeah, Stormy, the ones I've found supposedly have big handles and turning thingies and rubber grips and such. Thanks for the advice though! I'm going to go shopping after I finish exams so I can test them out myself. It's easy to say 'much easier to turn' than actually be the case .

I use a Leifheit handheld can opener myself, although not the exact one in the link above (search about to find other ones as well by Leifheit), and it works very easily with very little strain on your hands. [img]smile.gif[/img]
