My 95th starting over party was in the crypt and my warlock fired off a spell at Scabban from around the corner of his room. (I never listen to that meglomaniac and his rantings I just open up my spellbook and let looseI had just backed up my party into the hallway to get a better shot when all of a sudden, Scabban disappeared! Where could he be? That's funny, I thought.....I didn't get any experience points for killing him.... or does he have a teleport spell now?
I cautiously crept into his room and took a look around. Then my party leaned over the edge of the deep pool in Scabban's room and there he was...looking up me from the very bottom! I started laughing! He was completely stuck and helpless. I could just hear him - "help me, I've fallen and I can't get out!"

Wish I coulda taken a pic for the Examiner....))

"Run trollie, trollie!"

Hehehe, yep, he always takes a dive when you leave his room without killing him. If you go back to the crypt later, there he is doing the backstroke in the water. Annoying if you're trying to get through the tunnel to the Hall of Heros.

One time he followed me through the tunnel (I surmise) because the next time I went in, there he was on the OTHER side, in the Hall of Heros! I was preserving him so that my other characters could get the "Find Scabban" quest when they joined the Wizard's Guild. After everyone did, I offed him..he finally had ended up in the Tomb of Mastus.

I wonder if I could have introduced him to Rethpian...? I was able to do it with Gorthius and Kerielle.

Poor Ryanamur! We're going to have to arrange for therapy sessions about the "Mekdawa and the Horse" thing. ROFL!!!

I agree, Scabban and he deserve each other.
