This is a long shot but I'm wondering if there's any devout Red Dwarf fans here at IW. I've enjoyed all 8 series so far (although some far more than others) and still like to watch them now and again when I find the time.

Sooo, which episodes did you most enjoy?

With my sig I had to do this poll!!! I've watched them all again lately...well all apart from season 7, seemed to have lost that one grrrrr. I think Gunmen might be my all time fave.
I just hope they get the funding for the film!!

Well, it's in preproduction right now, so it's looking good.

Yeah I need to get the DVD's - still got them all on really old VHS cassettes from years ago. It's certainly a collection worth having

Wow this has had some pretty quick feedback - I'm obviously not alone in loving the RD series .

Looks like we all agree on a few of the episodes! I think Series 5 was probably my favourite, with all episodes (with the possible exception of Terrorform) being amongst my favourite of the lot. Series 6 was great too, but then it had hit its peak, with series 7 and 8 still being funny but just not as classy as the older ones!

The RD Movie has been in the pipeline for years - I can't decide if I want them to go ahead with it or not, since it will most likely flop, despite the comedy being really intelligent since it only appeals to a fairly small community. I think I'd prefer them to make a 9th series instead.

Jim

There is an interesting Statement written by Doug Naylor on the movie section for the red dwarf web site (http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/), goes through all the problems he's encountered trying to get this movie off the ground. I especially liked the bit about WETA workshops (yes the same WETA who did the Lord of the Rings) wanting to work on the film!! Now that would have been smegging fantastic!!

I love Red Dwarf! (I keep quoting it at school, which suprises a lot of people who have never heard of what it is)
Yes, I have a quote of it in my sig. Guess which one it's from.

I think it was from Parallel Universe, when Rimmer goes off to hide from his female self while Lister gets drunk, and we all know what happened next...
