Starting a new character for the umpteenth time, I actually read one of the books I didn't pay much attention to before: "The City of Neverwinter".

Which, in the historical recounting of the founding of the city, mentions quite explicitly that Lord Never was laid to rest in a tomb with the four swords we all know far too well, which will attack anyone who does not follow the instructions engraved in cryptic verses on the flagstones.

Now, this was interesting (naturally, since the Swords of Never are second only to the Yuan-ti for difficulty in Chapter 1 imo).

So when I got to Never's Tomb, I pixel-hunted for those flagstones, because, hey, wouldn't it be cool to just stroll up and take the prize without the swords attacking?

Well, if there were cryptic verses anywhere, I couldn't find them. Yeah, maybe they got rubbed away by the sands of time, but I was just wondering-- does anybody know if this is truly just a (cruel) red herring or is it really possible to "turn off" the Swords of Never?

I looked for them, too, since I had little desire to fight the swords... to no avail. I even checked the mod itself using the toolset when I finished the chapter... I found nothing.
