My tracert died in the same place as Andrewas'. The timing all went way south there too -- from 50-70 ms to 1071, 421, and 360 ms.

That being a 10. address, it's inside someone's firewall area IIRC. Is Roadrunner your ISP? You might check with them to see what's happening.

Well guys, I feel much better now . I now know it's not ME!

I was freaking for a second. I'll see what they can find out, I'll email them those tracerts and show them the same timeout spot.

Stuff like this is usually fixed within 3 business days they say, so hang in there!

everything is working fine for me at the moment, though. I don't know if the above will help at all.

The errors I *were* getting last night included standard 404s, and the cgi-timeout after 90 seconds on a slow-loading page. I haven't been getting any really funky errors, and none today.

I just got a 504 error. Did a trace instantly, got a highly weird result. Its ends on hop 6:

gigabitethernet.core1.NeyYork1.Level3.net [64.159.17.65] reports: Destination host unreachable.

I didnt route the trace to file, but I have a screenie of it if you think it would be useful.
