Sorry to hear that, Ziroc. Better luck in the future, I'm sure. But on the other hand -> $7000 is better than a backstab attack from a 20lvl rogue with artery strike feat (no similarities with some of M$ "staff" whatsoever). And we're still Ironworkers (hi-ho, hi-ho) .
Anyway, I can relate to 'Management change' issue. I was one of cca. 280 job applicants for a rather big company and our number dwindled through all kinds of tests something 280 -> 120 -> 60 -> 20 -> 9 -> 3 -> Me That was in a span of a month and on the *same day* that I went there to sign the contract... guess what ? There was 'Management change' smt. like two hours before that. Groan.

Btw. & IMNSHO - An Ironworks Beer Mug should hold at least three times normal size. So we can quaff better

Neuro
(we'll drag them kicking and screaming into the century of the FruitBat !)

Sorry to hear that, mate. But I guess in a way you're better off than you were before - you have $7000 in your pocket and you've still got the name!

Sorry to hear they gave you a dream only to smash it a minute later
Guess we won't be escapees after all, or at least not ex-ironworkers.

On the plus side, you got $7000 for a bit of paperwork. Gotta mail those Microsoft guys some day and see if there's anyhting I have they almost want to buy...

RATS! Dan that's awful, but I can't say I expect much from Micro$oft...still the compensation was a decent effort on their part. I'm so sorry they did this, though, as I can imagine you and Donna were all excited about fixing things up! I hope the new roof helps make it sting a bit less.

Can't say as I'm very disappointed about keeping the Ironworks name though! Your site is so well known, it's good to keep the familiar name! And it's true, you now have Escape Gaming to play with sometime.

Can't wait to see the changes you've got in store for us! Big HUGS for you and Donna...and tuna for Choc!

Better luck next time.

But i don`t understand, why do you all hate Microsoft all of a sudden?? That 7K$ was more than enough to compensate for the "damage". Hey, if there wouldn´t be Microsoft, there wouldn`t be that easily earned 7K$.
