silly bugger... i could have blasted him with spells, but silly me, he kept taunting me so i beat him senseless... that'll teach him... took forever, bu ti finally killed him with melee weapons...

i had surmised that killing the guy would have been prohibitive to the proving of his existance. it was clearly a faulty assumption but it saved one little green skin.

You can kill the Leprechaun apparently without damaging the quest...all you need is the Stone of Clover, which you will receive later in the game (when you visit the Shrine of Kerah, search the area just to the east of it).

oh hehe, well the guy wanted proof, and the little guy was MORE than bothering me with his antics, so i outright daggered him to death... to be honest i didnt even know about the quest at the time, i had just gotten to town and was a little bloodthirsty... he did drop a leprachans staff, which i thought was fo rthe quest when i actually got it, but nope, it wasnt...
