Alright, so yesterday I'm talking with a friend about me getting a new processor, considerring mine is crap. Anyways, he asks me what socket type I have, so I open up the case, ground myself, and start poking around trying to find out. Now, our computer was built by a friend of ours, and so the wires and such are not organized very well. So while I'm poking around in there, trying to get through the wire jungle (which was a fruitless venture, considerring all light was either blocked off by me or the wires) I think I accidentally screwed something up.
My Computer has 2 physical drives. The 30 GB C: Drive which holds all the system files. And the 160 GB X: drive which holds all my unimportant programs, music, videos, and most importantly; games. So I wake up this morning, and notice the World of Warcraft icon has reverted to that window icon, so I knew something was wrong. I check My Computer, and find that the X: drive, is not in the list. The computer does not recognize the X: drive. This is bad. I looked in the case, and all the connections look fine, so I don't know what's wrong. Help! |

Try reseating all the connections. You may have knocked something loose.

UN-PLUG THE COMPUTER BEFORE TOUCHING THE WIRES OR CONNECTORS.
Then carefully reset all wires and connectors.

Nah, all is good now. A friend of mine brought his dad over here to help me out. I'm glad people here are friendly. He not only got my computer running, he got the processor to work faster than before. It's better than ever.
