Ghost on XP?
Just talked with one of our IT guys who's had problems with running Symantec Ghost on XP. Seems that it locks itself to a MAC address or something like that, and he can't use it to restore an image multiple places (like we do for the training laptops in our courses).
Unfortunately, I don't know much more than that, and a quick Google and search of Symantec's site proved fruitless. Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: Ghost on XP?
Ghost is the best program I have ever used, I can't count the ammount of times it has saved my life at work.
I have never seen anything like what you mentioned though, maybe you are using one of the Ghost suites that we haven't touched.

Re: Ghost on XP?
Pardon my ignorance.
What is “ghost”? when I read the post title I assumed it was a game but the replies seem to indicate it is something else.

Re: Ghost on XP?
ghost is a symantec product that allows you to push a pc image to many computers. It is good in a school, because it allows you to have exactly the same settings on numerous computers, so everyone is on the same page
