My wife got up to see it, but knowing I had to go to work shortly I was too lazy to get out of bed

I was up last night watching it...

It was cold out, but most certainly worth it.
I didn't realize that those "fireballs" were so rare... I saw I think three last night, and I've seen two other ones in the past several months (once while kayaking in Maine over the summer, another just walking back to my dormroom a few weeks ago)

Maybe I'm luckier than I thought.

I got to see The Leonids in Tucson in 1998 when they were spectacularly close...fireball is right, it was breathtaking!

Mt Lemmon obsavatory on Mt Lemmon, in Tucson, got a couple of spectacular photos in the AMS link in the next post.

I was out in my driveway at 1:00 a.m. with my jaw dropped and wondering if I should be ducking LOL!

After hearing about it on the news I woke up at 4:00am...
The sky was completly cloudy...it was raining very hard..I was so pi$$ed coz it's normally good weather in Australia...!!!!!!!
I've heard though that that meteor shower comes every year but every 30 years the shower is often more "spectacular" that the annual showers. Well same time next year
