Respect to you for learning heiroglyphs - I am doing an archaeology degree, but unfortunately no Egyptian component to it (Classical Greek, Roman & Medieval only). PB, looks like you're into sciences, computing and geography. Had you thought of looking into Geographical Information Systems (GIS)? This is a growing area in Britain, one which I am interested in myself (it is one of the areas of computer use which is finally being put to good use in archaeology). It is also used in the department I work in (MAFF) to track the spread of epidemics

Epona, my husband works in the fields you are referring to (GIS), and has been for 15 years. Mail me if you have questions !
