Re: Cloudy's Cafe, Gobble Gobble! November 18, 2008
Up even earlier than me, amigo...
Done with work for the year, although I'll be doing some billable work along the way. Every hour's worth some dollars... Gotta decide how to spend time with the kids the next few days... I'm sure there's going to be at least one day skiing, another at the gym (the Y out here has a very nice kids area... and it's not bad for adults, either ), a movie... and some friends as well, I believe. Now to get some things handled to wrap up last week and start this one fresh

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, Gobble Gobble! November 18, 2008
Good point. I picked up three domains, one I'd been wanting (our family name) and two that are related to what I plan on doing. I want to put a proper plan in place for it all to make sure I can do it effectively. Some might call it being a wee bit scared... and they might be slightly right Just 'cause I've been doing this for 20 years now doesn't always mean I know everything about what my future customers want
I'm going to take a step back and plan it out a bit. I'm planning on consulting, but much more... books, seminars, video, a community of some sort... those are the details that need to become more concrete. Including the first and most important question... why should the customer care? And its critical follow-on... why should they care enough to spend money on it? Slowly but surely... the wheels are in motion. More news as it appears. In the meantime, spent part of the morning building a 3-D jigsaw puzzle of the Eiffel Tower with the kids. They were excited for a bit, then lost a bit of interest. Can't say as I blame 'em... it's *NOT* easy We'll work on it over the break, I expect, and eventually complete it. Then we'll take pictures... the thing is more than three feet tall! Now, it's time for a little catch-up, then lunch, and then figuring out what the afternoon holds for us... out there, in the cold and blowing snow...

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, Gobble Gobble! November 18, 2008
Relationship is still going strong, we would have hooked up for xmas if it wasn't for the fact that she is recovering from surgery and can only eat really soft stuff atm and isn't really capable of travelling anywhere. Apparently there are some complications as well, and she even may need to go back into hospital. The problem is that her specialist is nowhere to be reached due to the holidays, so she has to wait until after new years, at least hat's what the assistant told her. So we spent most our online time talking on skype, or on cam on MSN, and occasionally do our thing in Second Life (we are in a contest for most adorable couple LOL)
We are together for almost 10 months now, funny how time flies when you are having fun. Good thing i found this number which allows me to call the UK for only 2 cents a minute, otherwise this relationship would bleed me dry LOL. and myself, i'm doing fine too, thanks for asking btw. Bit slow on the job atm, because of the cold here, where's global warming when u really need it huh? I mean, nothing wrong with some time off and all, but i'm sitting on my ass doing nothing for like 3 weeks now, and the walls are starting to come at me, i'm really eager to get back to work, and i really thought i would never say something like that. I'm also considering giving WoW a try, maybe together with my GF, she's a level 70 rogue, so she could protect my n00b ass LOL. How's things on your side of the pond? Had a good xmas? Edit: this is our most recent SL pic, taken last saturday when we were attending a life performance from a musician in SL..think we have a shot at the most adorable couple title? LOL

Howdy everyone! Most of our snow's melted with the rain we got before Christmas but it's still pretty white out there in some places.
Johnny! OMG! You've buffed up... must be the beer... *giggle* Hey guy, it's good to hear from you. Sorry you're almost climbing the walls but the weather has to be better at some point so you can get back out to climbing ladders (if that's still what you're doing!).

Things are good here Johnny,
I got a touch of the flu, but I'm off this week, so I'll try to recover fast. We had a nice sunny day here today. ..must have been in the 40s! I'd be happy to keep your girlfriend in my prayers if you like? Oh, and if you're both using Skype, it's free for as long as you want to talk.
