So I should hope that England win, to pacify the small number of mindless thugs and keep them happy? No thanks!
No. You can hope that they win to please the 99% of us football supporters who don't cause trouble.

That way everyone is happy!!!

Why don't people have a problem with Welsh , Scottish & Irish waving flags ,don't these people have a hooligan problem ? I think if you look at what happend in N Irlend after the Rangers v Celtic game & in Cardiff after the Leeds game You'll see they do.

I've just asked the 12 people I work with , they all want England to win ,I consider none of them to be mindless thugs.
Calm down mate - now where did I say that anyone who wanted England to win was a mindless thug? I didn't And I certainly didn't call you racist, that would be ridiculous, so leave that out of it

About other nationalities waving flags? Yep, not keen on that either.

You go ahead and enjoy yourself, I just find that round where I live the atmosphere gets very tense in a negative way during the World Cup, so I can't gain a lot from it myself. I wouldn't want to spoil anyone's fun, but I'll support or not support whichever country I like thank you. My choice.
Stop twisting my words You know damn well that's not what I meant. Whoever wins will make millions happy somewhere in the world! I already said I hope you enjoy yourself, that is a sincere wish on my part - but I'm just not excited about it myself. Let it be now, eh?

"Space", says the Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, "is big. Really big. Like you might think it's a long way down the road to the Chemists, but that's just peanuts to space........"

Don't know why I said that really - there seemed to be some point to it at the time......

strange that i've seen nobody so far who said germany will win, they might not have the most talented team but they are always an outsider for the title at the least.

How does that saying go??

- Oh yes - football is a game played by 22 players kicking a ball around for 90 minutes. And in the end the Germans win (well that roughly how it goes)

An exeption to this 'rule' - the 1992 European championship final

Denmark 2 - Germany 0
