Wow 1! I can still do it, it still works: I still know how to post ! Now, how did the shortcuts for all these neat little faces - what are they called again, ah, yes: emoticons - go ? Let's see, I will start with the easy ones: , , ...

Wow 2! I have to admit it is very flattering and touching that so many people felt it was worth their time to post on the two recent threads expressing regret about my prolonged absence. My heartfelt thanks to every single one of you !

The most amazing reply of them all was that by the most noble Lady Epona: that she did still remember the penguin-waving incident after all this time is almost scary ! I mean that must have occurred some time between the Glorious Revolution and the War of Independence ! (Oops, now I made a lady feel old, shame on me. It seems the silver tongue is in urgent need of some fine-tuning. )But then again, come to think of it, even if one resides in a cosmopolitan metropolis like London, it is probably not a daily occurrence that 3 Spanish triplet brothers living in exile in Germany wave a fullgrown penguin in front of one's face. *waves the biggest penguin from Cologne Zoo in front of Epona* I had completely forgotten how much fun penguin-waving was !

Since this is an absolutely private place , I will be just upfront about it:
From time to time I seem to feel the irrepressible urge to visit that deep abyss called depression, probably just to remind myself that life up here, while far from perfect, is indefinitely better than down there. And guess what, surprise, surprise, I found it was still as dark and absolutely lifeless down there as always. So, just take my word for it and don't go there at home, kids.

And now to you, Wolfie, my friend. Thank you very much for starting this thread, but: if you want me to stay around here for awhile, please refrain from posting anything in German. You know I try to make a living by teaching German as a foreign language and let me tell you that all the red ink in the world wouldn't suffice to repair the damage you do to my poor native tongue by trying to write a single sentence ! *melodramatic pause* I mean we are talking about the language of Goethe and Schiller and of Kant and Lessing here !
But, nevertheless, I habe verstanden you perfectly. Danke.

And as I see, even though, the last time I checked, she was going to get married, Cloudy can still not live without kissing every other guy she comes across.

Unglaublich! Wilcommen noch einmal

Then again, I'm Scottish and have no idea what the above means. If I have just asked you to strangle your hamster, accept my apologies. In any event, welcome back

Wow! Another member that can speak German? I'm pleasantly surprised! I'm, half-German, and I have a cousin that lives near Koln...dammit...can't find an umlaut..anyways, this is too cool...
