In recent years I have discovered that I am not immortal, nor are any
of my loved ones. I do not fear death. I know it to be the most natural part of life save perhaps childbirth. However, I do fear the messenger of death. Suffering is not my bag. Have you accepted the fact that this life on this earth will not last forever? |

No I do not fear death or the messenger. It is something I am comfortable with.
But I guess that comes from talking with my Dad (who has been dead for 17 years now) and dealing well with Spirit. I guess when you are comfortable with the fact that the body is only a shell.. there really is nothing to fear. ------------------ Defender for the Light - Goodness knows there is a lot of Dark out there!! - Where are my matches?!? Not afraid of it at all.
I view death as the freedom of one's soul, however, *I would never personally take life from anyone, myself included. The messenger does not always call attention to himself. Lots of people never see it coming and never feel a thing. That is the route I would prefer for all of us. *Contradictory of my view on the death penalty, yes...perhaps if I were the one responsible for flipping the switches, I'd have to take another look at my views on it. I have always looked upon deatg to be the release from life, at times I looked forward towards it, times arenīīt always happy in life.. But I have come to an agreement with both ligfe and death and I donīt fear death for myself, the standard answer here, I fear for other to die that are close to me..
Death is only a natural thing and until then I will do most things to try and have a decent life, Iīm more afraid to live than to die. You canīt fail to die, you will do that one way or another.. But one can fail terrible at living life.. ------------------ Yawning lazywolf dreaming about nice little fairies...zzzzz |

I have thought a lot about death. I was with each of my parents when they died. My brother, my dad, and my mom all died within 15 months. My brothers death had the most impact, even though I was far from close to him and was not with him when he died. But he was only 3yrs older than myself, so it brought the possibility of death VERY close, and made me think.
But, no. Death does not really make me afraid, though there is a nervous frisson associated with the thought, as there is when approaching any great change - like the birth of your first child, or starting a new job. I do not believe in life after death, so I have no fear of hell or anticipation of heaven. But that is a BELIEF - I don't KNOW, any more than anyone else does. So I AM intensly curious! If I am right in my belief, I shall never know it. If I am wrong - it should be interesting! But I don't want to die like my dad did, or like my brother did. Mom had it right. She stayed active till a couple of days before she died. Then she was on medication - unconscious - till she died. ------------------ |

I dont fear death, although the means in wich one might attain getting
there may be feared more? I am certain of my destiny so it is said "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 I do not post much on this but this is my belief and you did ask ------------------ |
