Remember that Chat suggestion from years back?
I seem to recall someone asking for a chat ages ago, but nothing really seems to have happened.
So, in that light I decided to set one up. Since my help isn't wanted for hosting the forums, I'll do the chat instead. =) Web Applet: http://www.borknet.org:8000/?nick=Ir...els=#Ironworks For those who want to use their own IRC client; Borknet.org is the server 6668 is the port #Ironworks is the channel It's an open-source version of Q (from Quakenet) that we're working on, rather my friend is, so it works much the same. If you want to be authenticated, and gain channel flags etc. simply use /msg Q hello your@email.com your@email.com - after that you'll get your login information to sign in to the network. Any mods/official can query me for channel flags. I'll be out for a few hours, I've got my A-levels in English this evening. Hopefully I'll see you there! If you're looking for a good IRC client, I personally recommend mIRC. http://www.mirc.com/ or xchat http://www.xchat.org/ Hope to see some support for this <3 If nothing else we can hang out when the boards die!

Re: Remember that Chat suggestion from years back?
If I recall, there was a chat at some point but very few used it. I am almost certain it was here at some point but I think was one of those things that was tried but garnered no interest. I never tried it - much too famous for live text chat, forums are my jam nowadays.

Skype is extremely popular with Travian. Even I can get into it,

Don't worry, Ironworks will never die. It may go down from time to time (which is rare), but we've... wow, been up since 1998 (IWF has) TGEWEB since 1994-ish.. damn, thats crazy!
I may resurrect chat, or simply integrate blogtalk.radio which I've been checking out. That seems really cool.
