This guy is like the gate keeper in front of the shrine i think w/ the glass door and a lock. He asks you questions, what feels hot but isn't fire, something like that. Anyways anser is ice. He asked me another question, about protector or keeper, not really sure. I answered wrong so he attacted me. What is the correct answer? Is there even one?
I decided to fight him, but he turned all my characters insane almost instantly. There was nothing i could do  What do i do, or what is he good for? |

He's good for a lot of XP. If you want to fight him, use "Merlin's Shield" on all your characters (5th level Stone spell)...also some rings enchanted with Pro Magic.
However, the answers to the last two riddles are: Holy Protector -> Kerah Holy Defender -> Anephas The statues throughout the game give this information.  -Sazerac |

thanks for the info. What is the pupose of this guy? Is there a difference if i kill him before i speak to him or after?

If you answer his question accurately he'll disappear so you have to attack him first or answer his question wrong. His only purpose is to provide a challenge getting into the Shrine. He'll give a total of 970,914 XP on normal difficulty. I killed him with only my Warlock left alive since everyone else went insane. After using all of my really tough spells I ran around trying to regenerate my mana. I used lots of shock and burn. It took a long time, a full game day I believe. But just protect yourself and you'll be fine.
