Read an old post someone mentioned a "Chicken Quest" in Umar hills. I remember a guy with a flock of chickens but he didn't seem to want anything but for me to leave his chickens alone. Did I miss a quest? Does it require a certain character type?

' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' spoiler ' ' ' ' ' ' there was someone you can talk to in the umar hills that said something about something valuable being hidden in one of the chickens. its a berjuril and you can intimdate the farmer by the chickens to sell that one to you for 100 gold and then take the jewel and sell for 600 i think. ------------------ THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!!! |

If you have a character with a high enough Pickpocket skill (e.g a bard) you can pickpocket the chicken first, to get TWO Beljuril gemstones!

If you decide to slaughter the chickens, you get one of the best lines in the game...
S P O I L E R The woman starts to yell at you, and your PC gets the option of saying. "This is between us and the chickens, ma'am." ------------------ |

How did you find out about upgrading the horn? Does Cromwell tell you if you bring it in?

Spoiler
/ / / / / / / / / / // You can upgrade your horn of valhalla by talking with a merchant in the Promenade, he deals with magical instruments. He is on a platform on the SW side, by the portrait merchant. You first horn of valhalla you get summons a level 5 beserker warrior, you can upgrade that one if you have a diamond, upgrades to a bronze horn i think which summons a level 7 beserker, then again if you have the berjuril gem from the chicken quest, you can upgrade it into a full power Silver horn of Valhalla. |
