I would like to talk about some of the new things found in HotU. For example...
1. Why are the Deep Roth's listed as "level 2 magical beast"? 2. Is the new pinkish dragon the strongest dragon in the game now? 3. Has anyone noticed that on the toolset you can set time lapse of decay? 4. Is anyone as greatful as I that you can change your PCs appearance "after" you have made him and at any time that you want? 5. Is anyone upset as I am that more than half of the new portraits are not really portraits? Please continue and list your own favorite things or questions.

1. I've noticed that too and I wasn't aware the the Underdarks version of the Yak was magical.
2. I've checked out the Dracolich in the Toolset and it seem to have higher difficulty rating. Could be because of it's spellcasting, I don't know. 3. Nope. 4. Yes. Let's just hope everybody doesn't change their appearance every now and then, might be confusing in MP. 5. Yes, I don't know why anyone would like to have a lute as a portrait.

Oh...another one I remembered...is that XP wizard that you now have when you right click an NPC a way to give monsters or NPCs XP to level up?

2. The prismatic? No 3. Yeah It's used as soon as you kill the drow in the OC. 4. I am more grateful than you could ever imagine...No more messing around with models in toolset and testing in-game. This is the closest we get to a 'test mode'. 5. Yes and no. I do like them portraits but It's kinda silly seeing them come up for PC's. Many of the 'real' new portraits are not even new either, simply NPC or previously unused portraits.

I think the fog clipping and the ability to change it in the toolset is really cool I haven't looked at the rest of the toolset much as I'm playing the campaign right now. It's great! hough I suspect this thread is not about the new story [ 12-27-2003, 01:29 PM: Message edited by: philip ] |

You guys have not seen the new customize character button? Maybe I am stupid and have not noticed before on the older version then...because I could swear that the button is new to HotU.
Go into your screen where you will select a character to play in a game...and when you highlight the one you want to take, down at the bottom there is a button that says customize character on it, and whe you select it, you can change portrait, head, hair, tatoos, body size, name, deity, and sound set. That is what I was referring to. Is it not new to this expansion?
