This video shows a short interview with Fox's Hannity & Colmes talking to one woman from the Westboro Baptist Church. I just wish they'd let her talk a little more -- she barely had time to start her "Wrath of God" speech before they interrupted her.

I've seen that clip before; she's Fred Phelps daughter, IIRC.

Unfortunately for me (or perhaps fortunately), I myself have never had the pleasure of seeing Phelps face to face. If I ever get the chance, I'm not sure if I'd take it or not. My problem would be that I would either want to lunge at him or start laughing at how ridiculous it is... Either way, he probably wouldn't appreciate it very much.

If you lunged at him, he'd probably appreciate it. He and several other family members are lawyers and you'd give him an excuse for another lawsuit.

He's no longer a lawyer. He was disbarred. However, the rest of the family law firm still exists, and very much enjoys filing frivolous lawsuits against people for the slightest perceived offense.

Apparently, there's a good profit to be had in settlements...

One good thing Phelps has brought us is a whole lot of agreeance. I cannot think of another topic discussed here on IW where it seems everyone is on the same page.

Thanks Phelps for bringing us together, it is a rare event indeed.

An update... the ACLU has filed suit on behalf of one of the folks who has gone with the Whacko Bongo Church to protest at funerals. They claim the law as written is unconstitutional.

Details here

Meh. You kill trolls by starving them. I hope their church tax-exempt status is removed soon.
