IF it was being made, what do you think the plot would be centered on?

Evil creatures attacking the Dale

Add:] I think it would be some sort of undead attacking the Big Tree...i mean, they've covered Yuan-ti and Orogs...maybe orcs...if they made a 3rd one, I hope there would be no more yaun-ti...i f***ing hate those bastards

I think it's going to be something about the return of Belhiphet(sp?), I mean it just could be(iwd2 is 30 years after 1 and big B promised to be back 100 years later).

I just hope it doesn't involve Kuldahar and non stop fighting which has basically made the last at times quite boring. Something more like Baldur's Gate would get my vote.

thats not really the point of IWD. The IWD series are the hack 'n slash versions, pushing the combat engine to the limits. This is for those who dont really like to read window after window of dialogue and ponder what effects your sayings will have.

BG is a mix of the roleplaying elements and hack 'n slash. Plenty of enemies, plenty of dialogue and plenty of story. The BG series are my personal favorites...

Planescape Torment on the other hand concentrated on the story and dialogue(of which both are probably the best ive run into...ever), and not as much on combat. Thats not to say there isnt combat, though. You just usually have a talking option instead of fighting...

All three are great games(and series), and Bioware(or Interplay?) wanted to serve the largest possible area of gamers, and if I might add, they did it well!

I dont know if theres gonna be an IWD 3, though they might make an expansion to IWD2...I mean, there's Heart of Winter, Tales of the Sword Coast and Throne of Bhaal, the expansions to IWD1, BG1 and BG2. Would make sense to have an expansion to IWD2 aswell, wouldnt it?

But the company has bankrupt/close shop. Creating an expansion for IWD2 or even a IWD3 would be impposible at the moment.

yes, well, it's impossible for Black Isle to make it, but I suppose Atari+Bioware could...not likely, though
