Question Mark Knights of the Old Republic

Just started this game, enjoying it sofar, looking forward to my death match with Starkiller, might have to level up a few times first.
Any good tips for the game? How many levels should I do before I can be a Jedi?
Cheers

It doesn't depend on which level you are, the storyline will take you there once it's time.

Don't rush into that fight with Bendak Starkiller, do all other possible stuff on Taris first, with the exception of going to Davik's place of course, you won't be coming back to Taris after that. A couple of battle stimulants and other enhancements wouldn't hurt either when you take him on.

Don't forgoet: For the earlier parts of Kinghts, grenades do extreme damage, and can usually kill a single enemy/gang member in one throw. Or multiple ones.

Don't go charging into combat. Fire a few rounds, then switch to melee when they get close.

Oh, and, there are many, many "I hate Carth" fanclubs. Join the one that fits you!

Is it best to level up when you can or say stop at level 4 then do lots of leveling up when I can take Jedi levels?
Yes I've found grenades to be quite helpful.
I think I'll wait as long as I can before getting into the ring with Starkiller!!

Just level up when you can.

Very fun game - don't worry about 'powergaming' - just play a character that is fun for you.

As I'm using a vibro (??) sword, if I take the duling feat, will that also help with the lightsaber when I get it?

Damn! I hadn't realized it's been so long since I played KOTOR 1. Who is Starkiller again? I should probably reinstall this game again sometimes.

Bendak Starkiller is the retired mercenary in the cantina in the upper levels on Taris, who you can challenge for a deathmatch in the arena.
