So? World of Warcraft has 4 million customers in the world, with 1 million in NA alone, and 1.5 million in China.

We are all aware of WoW sales record, but this is no time to start a WoW vs GW flamewar.

Congrats to Guildwars.

2 Words... Don't Start.

Its great to see GW hit 1 million copies. It is a real milestone comming from a new system in a new universe.

[/QUOTE]Yeah. I must say, it was rather a revolutionary idea to have a free MMO. A big and risky investment which could have resulted in disaster. Especially when it was released around other major MMO title releases (WoW, EQ2). But I must say, GW really has perservered. Hats off to the devs of this game, and hopefully we will see even more members joining the community.

Not to drag on the GW vs. WoW thing but they are very different too. Now that I've actually tried GW I can't really see how and why people really compare them so closely. I'd go so far as saying they are for different fantasy audiences, both offering unique gameplay experiences. It's just this time it is actually true.

Both have done extremely well and both are doing their own seperate things and obviously like it that way. Sure, the basics of MMO's are there but if you try it you will see two distinct tastes dividing these games...
