Surely, a man of your (claimed - implied) intellect should know that - you touch it and if it feels hard and brittle then it's toasted

*cough, spam!, cough*

I don't really eat toast, but when I did, I usually ate it with some melted butter. Hmm, too bad I don't have a toaster anymore.

What if it's stale when you put it in?

BTW - I've never claimed intelligence or lack of intelligence.

Here's a toast for yuh!

Up to the lips,
Over the gums.
Watch out belly here it comes....

Actually I like toast made out of a cinnimon swirl bread. I don't recall the brand, but the has nuts and rasions in it.

Ah, toast. Lightly browned, please, with one of the following on top; butter and cinnamon sugar, peanut butter and blackberry jam, or sharp cheddar cheese with ham and tomato slices.

And toast is a food group, or at the very least a deserving subcategory.
If it's stale it'll be even more brittle - there is a difference between the level of brittleness of toasted and stale-toasted bread

I knew you were gonna say what you did in your second paragraph, that's why I wrote that you implied a claim of intelligence - by your smartass threads

I love toast with either vegimite or appricot jam. And I like it only lightly toasted.

French toast is great as well!

White Toast, lightly toasted, with a covering of Pate. Takes minutes, tastes scrumcious. (If that is even a word)

Mmmmmm, I have to agree with Downunda, A LOT of butter, and the a tiny bit of vegimite is the ultimate snack, the best thing about toast is that you can eat so much and still want more.
