Some interesting thoughts!
Things you didn't know you didn't know and didn't know you needed to know and didn't know to ask!....or care to...for that matter. A crocodile cannot stick it's tongue out. A snail can sleep for three years. Babies are born without kneecaps...they don't appear until the child reaches 2-6 years of age. Butterflies taste with their feet. Cats have over one hundred vocal sounds. Dogs only have about 10. February 1865 is the only month in history not to have a moon. If the population of China walked past you in single file, it would never end because of the rate of reproduction. In the last 4,000 years, no new animals have been domesticated. Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors. No word in the English language rhymes with month. Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing. "Stewardesses" is the longest word typed with only the left hand. With your right, it's "lollipop". The cruise liner, QE2, moves only six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns. The name of all the continents end with the same letter with which they start. The words "racecar" and "kayak" are the same forward or backward. "Typewriter" is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard. Women blink nearly twice as often as men. If you are an average American, over the course of your life you will spend an average of 6 months waiting at a red light. In most advertisements, including newspapers, the time displayed on a watch face is 10:10. The sentence "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" uses every letter of the alphabet. Pinocchio is Italian for "pine eye". Grapes spark when you put them in a microwave There is no Betty Rubble in the Flintstone Chewables. The winter of 1932 was so cold that Niagara Falls froze completely solid. Just so you know... ------------------ "the memories of a man in his old age, are deeds of a man in his prime" |

Thanks so much, John! I KNEW you could find something entertaining.
Um, though, was there a missing word on the February 1865 not having a moon? Was that supposed to be "full" moon? An additional bit of trivia: The longest SENTENCE written completely on the second row of the keyboard is: "Typewriter quit your torture". Betty Rubble wasn't included in the Flintstones Vitamins because...get this...she wasn't popular enough among kids! Poor Betty! Great list! ------------------ [This message has been edited by Sazerac (edited 09-17-2001).] |
