Hem ... ahem ... Ziroc ... I have worked with UNIX and with Windows (3.x, 95/98, NT) ... and, ahem ... I HATE UNIX ! And Perl and V.I. !
OK, hate is too strong a word but - Unix tools are SO unfriendly ... Debugging a Perl program that I haven't written, without any documentation, using V.I. as an editor and under HP.UX has been one of the worst professional experiences in my life ! ------------------ [This message has been edited by Moiraine (edited 03-22-2001).] |

Do you hate yourself or something, I rather have teeth pulled without anaesthetic (sp?) I once had to write some Perl to do a file upload and an email notification. I had never used pearl before so I had to "borrow" two pieces of sample code off the net and merge them. Worked quite well, but I ran it as a cgi script under apache, and edited it NT. ------------------ 'Cloudbringer for Spamturny General' - BK -Powered by Tainly Corp Your ad here? Call 112 -221 -123 |

Yeh Dan,
Heaps faster now, was totally dead this morning - was even reading your first couple of replies and thinking it's no different, but something has happened in the last 10 minutes (besides the Ausssies losing the cricket). Off to drown my sorrows - perhaps Memmie and Yorick are already at the inn. Davros |
