Postcard from ~~sunny~~ windy / rainy / cold land of poms, visiting the mother in law who is making a big recoverery but still very weak and after finding out more about the hospital mistakes is lucky to be alive at all!

EEF! Glad you're visiting and very glad she's ok. Mistakes? Not good! Nobody wants to hear a hospital made mistakes but ESPECIALLY not when you come that close to losing a loved one! I'm so glad she'd ok, despite that. *Hugs to all of the family*

Oh and save us some sun when you get back to Oz!

I have no idea what maniac decides our 'maintenance and cleaning' schedules around here but it's about 50 degrees Farenheit out and they shut off the heat and hot water to our building for scheduled 'maintenance'...they do it every year at this time and about 2/3 of the time it's very cold for that two weeks.....brrrr!

Ok, couldn't stand it anymore...it may be mid-late May but I hauled out my space heater at work. Got tired of shivering and my fingers are now almost normal color....blue is not a fun color to turn, thankyouverymuch! Smurfs, notwithstanding, of course.

Well it is the first day without continious rain so far! So the plan is to take the kids for a day out away from the hospital waiting rooms. So some castle in wales is the go today.

You're welcome, Wellard. I hope the good wishes make it all the way to your mil's convalescence room and she gets better in no time! But in the meantime, good for you, getting out for a little bit and enjoying some history and beautiful scenery! The kids will love it!

Story time!

I was at Luke's house with my other friend Kenny, we decided to go for a walk cuz we were board.We didn't leave until dark, which was ok cuz we were going to a girls house.Well, after a ways we saw a white blur chasing us. Luke yells "Run! Its a SLoth!" So we were running. When we got to this girls house we were very tired and the blur was still chasing us.We went into some light to find out that the blur was only a little orange kitten!Well we were a little embarrased.So the cat followed us home when we were done, and let me tell you, that cat is an idiot! It was just crazy. So guess what?

We named him Reatard.
