I'm with ya, Lady Zekke. Where is our global warming this year, here in our lovely lattitude? Kentucky (Lexington) has been cool enough to wear hooded sweatshirts!

Thankfully, it's supposed to warm up a little bit tomorrow, even hitting 70 F

Oh, and Kakero...just because you're crazy doesn't mean that they AREN'T after you!

No I could get another fish Johnny. I think that fungus, or whatever it was, was mostly internal, inside my fish, by the time he died last night. I've cleaned everything, tank, filters, water, all is perfect far as I can tell right now. Just too late I guess re my fish. He seems to have been the main source for the fungus, I just wish I could have figured out the correct medication to cure him. No doubt he was old, but still I bet he'd have lived longer if I had been able to kill that crap. Blah.

Thing is, the fish I have left I also have had for 10 years, bought both of them at the same time. So no doubt I've learned that African Synodontis Catfish live quite a long time. So if I were to buy another one, which would probably be a youngun, I'd be 10 years into it. And the one I have won't live that long, so eventually said youngun I'd want a companion for, etc. etc. I'm just wondering how long I want to do the fish aquarium thing.

The water they live in is also of a high PH range, so I can't buy whatever I like in the pet store. Only so many things can live in those conditions. African Cichlids are one, but I had hundreds of them LOL, they love to breed LOL. And they can be aggressive sometimes. Maybe I'll buy one first, just a little yellow Cichlid, that never gets bigger than 2 inches. Of course then I'll think he is lonely and will want to get another Cichlid... LOL.

Oh lucky you Ilander! Getting up to 70 maybe tomorrow. We get rain and a high of 56 tomorrow, whooweee! "They" say though Sunday might hit 70, and the week will be in the 70s beyond that, so we'll see. I sure hope so.

Ahh... beautiful, just beautiful. The past two days have delivered some wonderful thunderstorms. My favorite, just so you might know.

The downside is that parking will be insane this weekend. I have to help direct parking lot traffic and more than 50% of our spaces are grass. Not too many people like their footsteps going *slosh* after they've gotten past the grass. Then there's the problem of the ladies walking in the grass. They tend to wear high-heels. Grass and high-heels don't mix well. Soaked grass and high-heels don't mix at all.

Well, on to the really good, yet not so good news. I'm finally getting over 20 hours of work time per week now. The good part? bigger paycheck. The not-so-good part? I'm exhausted. So why on earth am I posting at quarter to midnight?

Good night

Oy, you're posting because you love us, dude. That's obvious. After all, IW roxxorz the soxxorz.

I was told by my father today that he could get me a job that pays $14 an hour...and offers as many hours as I can work. He said that they've been working 12 hour shifts, seven days a week lately...if I could do that a several weeks in a row, there would be a few benefits.

1) I would lose some of this darned weight.
2) I would make enough money to get my car fixed, and not have to borrow transportation.
3) I would finally have a decent amount of money in the bank for next year.

I think that I'll do it...though the work is going to be hard, I'm sure. Oh well, I can handle it...though it's possible it will keep me from doing much in the way of roleplaying or Akido...which is somewhat sad.

Now, if only I knew exactly what my position would be. I know that I would be a "helper," and that they employ "helpers" and "welders," and the overall objective of the work is to maintain the facilities at a quarry...hmmm.

"Ilander...Ilander...play with me now..."
- Your PC calling out to you in distress
You can't stop with the rpgs. That's the olny thing keeping you here. You might not think it, but when you are googling at your computer screen, vigorously jerking your mouse in all directions, their is a faint voice inside your head...calling... You don't notice it at first. But it comes again...like a wave. You hear it, but you don't know its there. It's the games that do it. THE GAMES.

And you can't give up Akido either. Its the #1 martial art.(if you can call it that)

Ilander, Ilander...! I mean... lol! So yeah, this would be a sad PC. Well, do what you have to do. I dunno if I would suggest jumping in on 12 hour shifts right away, though. Could you try an 8-hour shift, first? That may be better, but I'm sure it will work out, whatever happens.
So, anyways, I've just gotten in here, around 6 a.m. I'm kinda tired. Only three hours of sleep yesterday, too! Oh well, sleep will come soon, but morning worship calls, so I'll do that, then grab some Z's. Later, all!

Well, I've worked "12" hour shifts before, which is a 13 hour shift where they don't pay you for your lunch or one of your breaks...and I've worked a REAL 12 hour shift before, where they pay you for 12 hours and you work for 12 hours...neither of which is too bad so long as you get to move. Standing in place for 12 hours a day is a horrible experience, but this is more of a construction job than a manufacturing job, so I'll get to walk a bit...which helps TREMENDOUSLY!

I doubt I'll stop playing computer rpg's over the summer...I'm just not sure how much time I'll have for PnP. I hope I'll have enough!

*sings*
The sun shines bright in the old Kentucky home
'Tis summer, the people are gay;
The corn top's ripe and the meadow's in the bloom,
While the birds make music all the day;
The young folks roll on the little cabin floor,
All merry, all happy, and bright,
By'n by hard times comes a-knocking at the door,
Then my old Kentucky home, good night!

Chorus

Weep no more, my lady,
Oh weep no more today!
We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home,
For the old Kentucky home far away.

They hunt no more for the 'possum and the coon,
On meadow, the hill and the shore,
They sing no more by the glimmer of the moon,
On the bench by that old cabin door;
The day goes by like a shadow o'er the heart,
With sorrow where all was delight;
The time has come when the people have to part,
Then my old Kentucky home, good night!

Chorus

The head must bow and the back will have to bend,
Wherever the people may go;
A few more days and the trouble all will end
In the field where sugar-canes may grow;
A few more days for to tote the weary load,
No matter, 'twill never be light,
A few more days till we totter on the road,
Then my old Kentucky home, good night!

Chorus

Oh, and I did pretty well on my PHY final.

*sings*

There's a yellow rose in Texas, that I am going to see,
Nobody else could miss her, not half as much as me.
She cried so when I left her, it like to broke my heart,
And if I ever find her, we nevermore will part.

She's the sweetest little rosebud that Texas ever knew,
Her eyes are bright as diamonds, they sparkle like the dew;
You may talk about your Clementine, and sing of Rosalee,
But the yellow rose of Texas is the only girl for me.

When the Rio Grande is flowing, the starry skies are bright,
She walks along the river in the quiet summer night:
I know that she remembers, when we parted long ago,
I promise to return again, and not to leave her so.

She's the sweetest little rosebud that Texas ever knew,
Her eyes are bright as diamonds, they sparkle like the dew;
You may talk about your Clementine, and sing of Rosalee,
But the yellow rose of Texas is the only girl for me.

Oh now I'm going to find her, for my heart is full of woe,
And we'll sing the songs together, that we sung so long ago
We'll play the bango gaily, and we'll sing the songs of yore,
And the yellow rose of Texas shall be mine forevermore.

She's the sweetest little rosebud that Texas ever knew,
Her eyes are bright as diamonds, they sparkle like the dew;
You may talk about your Clementine, and sing of Rosalee,
But the yellow rose of Texas is the only girl for me.

Anyone know any songs about Alberta? Or even Canada, for that matter?
