After reading through this thread I thought I would just throw my 2 cents in.

I think it was stated pretty clearly that the idea is for this to be a GAMING message board on a GAMING website and that this particular forum was simply set up to allow people to post the voluminous amount of comments regarding the 11 Sept incident without it clogging up the GD forum. It's been stated also that it was never intended to be anything but that and that it was only temporary.

If people want to discuss serious issues in a passionate and heated way there are LOTS of places to go. Most every message board in the extended community seems to have a forum dedicated to just that, in larger or smaller degrees. If that's the particular tone that they'd like to set here, I think it only right that people respect that after having been informed of such.

BTW, as always, Memnoch has shown himself to be one of the most talented moderators around, which is why he has had, and still does have, my respect.
