The real bugger of it is that a lot of terrorists ARE brave - evil and misguided but brave. They place their own lives on the line, and accept physical suffering. This is why they become martyrs and it is martyrs that feed the next generation of extremists and terrorists.

Bravery and goodness are not the same thing. These men were evil, I do not dispute this for one minute.

Ahh.. I see.

It is? Why is that, because you don't like what the majority has to say?

No we are not. read the thread again.. we're talking in GENERAL, as you have been.

I'm done with this thread, I've said my piece. and I don't agree with you at all. so as you said to Yorick, let's agree to disagree.

Thanks,

And you never did think that it ever would happen again, in America did you? And you never did think that we'd ever get together again, but we damn sure fooled ya. We're walkin' real proud and we're talkin' real loud again, in America. And you never did think that it ever would happen again.... (Charlie Daniels)

Another innaccurate and cheap shot, Ziroc.

If I was in any way bothered by being in the minority viewpoint, I would not spend so much time on this forum.

As for us announcing we were coming in the most general terms from far away, well, hell, Bin Laden did as much years ago.

Ziroc, I would be very interested in hearing how you think waging war by planes and missles accords with medieval notions of chivalry and personal honor. I'm afraid those notions are out of date in modern warfare.

Anyway, this whole discussion is turning silly.

I wonder if the British troops during the American Revolution thought the colonists were cowardly for the way they fought. You know! Where the British soldiers lined up in rows and each row fired, but the Americans swarmed around ambush style. I bet if I read history books from England, I'd find out. Anyone here know this bit of history?

Oh yes. Guerilla tactics were especially prevalent in the South, and especially prevalent in my native state of South Carolina. The British considered the guerilla partisans to be terrorists, and treated them accordingly if captured, by execution.

I hope no one here will give me crap about Bush bashing after this little bit of Presidential mudslinging. I can't believe this was let through unscathed. I will no longer worry about my Bush bashing here ever again. Thanx Liliara and 250, for opening the gates!
