In this case death is not a bad thing. I'm not glad they're dead because they were saddams sons, i'm glad they're dead because of the things i've read and heard about these two. In my book their deeds put them on the same level as a Ted Bundy, or a Jeffrey Dahmer. And there's only one way to deal with that kind of people. They don't deserve a second change, or any privileges whatsoever.

Hey Now Hold it Right there Ted bundy at least used some gile (sp?) and deceit in his chosing of victims . Oday threatened jr high school principals with torture if they didn't supply him with little girls he could rape, old fashsioned brute force.

No duh Z, just because some of us would rather have seen them taken alive to face International and/or Iraqi justice, rather then cowboy justice, does not mean we have no memory of recent events. [/QB]
Your 'cowboy justice' wording is silly. The troops knocked on the door, and were then getting small arms fire. only THEN did they return fire. Just because you don't like the US Military, don't let it cloud your thinking. If YOU were fired at, would you sit there and go 'please come with us alive'? no.

Those brothers would not allow to be captured. They WANTED to fight till death. So this 'cowboy justice' is just a jaded reference.

I personally think it would have been nice to get them alive. THEN, the people would see them on TV, and in chains. Same for Saddam. A lot of Iraqi people can't tell if those nasty pics are REALLY the butcher brothers.

Saddam would get a warm welcome in Federal Prison.

I've heard of "turn the other cheek", but your version is new to me. It's a good one though, i'm gonna keep that one in mind.
Made that one up. 'it's eye time!!!'

When have I EVER stated I dislike the US Military. I have great respect for the people in the Armed Services. And have several friends how are on active duty. Don't let my oppostion to the Bush Administration's policies cloud your thinking.

I've been avoiding this one because I find it in poor taste, even down to the title of the thread.

At what point in the human race did we start to regress? Looking at the photo's again, I find it hard to chalk that up to just 'small arms fire.' Looks like a good old fashioned beating thrown into boot.

I could understand a little more, if Qusai and Odai had directly impacted everyone's lives, but they didn't. I could understand his victoms, or victoms families rejoicing at their death, but when complete strangers celebrate the deaths of individuals that they don't know, I think we've all sunk to new depths.

Perhaps they did deserve to die but it's not for me or you to decide that much less celebrate it. In doing so, we become no better than the very same people that are hunted for that exact same behaviour. Maybe there's a little "Hussein" in all of us?

To whom should the "power of life and death" belong? God? I didn't see God doing anything to stop their evil actions, and no one else was doing anything either.

If you may not celebrate the end of an evil, then what may one celebrate? Didn't everyone celebrate the death of the Wicked Witch of the West?

Of course there is a little Hussein in all of us. Like I said earlier, at least I realize and accept that, but I don't focus on it.

As the other users link shows it didn't.

God was behind the coalition forces of course! The prayers of their citizens drove them to victory!

Celebrate Victory!!!

No body has a little Hussein in them. He is taught not born.
