![]() Seriously though, it could have been even more bizarre. Stewart was planning to put 9 players fielding by the gate with just him and the bowler in the middle. Now that would be a first. ------------------ ![]() Save Chip - Don't let Sarah win! Official Titterer of the Laughing Hyenas |

I saw the events at Headingley yesterday and I have to say it was an amazing bit of sportsmanship by England and obviously the correct decision, BUT...
Considering that it was the other team's "fans" who caused the problems it really ought to have been them to concede. They should be dismissed from the tournament (Australia should win by default) and not be allowed to play again (at least in this country) until they learn to control their fans. That's what would happen if it were reversed... just my 2 pence. Or possibly Alec Stewart had money on Pakistan to win in that over ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() And how did that British hero Tim Henman go against tiny Leyton Hewitt. Our guy wouldn't have stood much of a chance after battling through 3 sets against Sampras would he ![]() Now, do we have "eny Soud Afrikans" - how did Retieff Goosen manage to not wing the US Open Golf from that position ![]() ------------------ ![]() |

Hmmmmm, I thought this was a Rugby thread. ![]() Anyway, quite an important Lions match tommorow, any predictions? The Lions team doesn't look very much like the side that will play the tests. Having said that I don't think any player has been ruled out, I bet Graham Henrys' getting a real headache. It will get worse if Dallaglio, Quinell and a few others play well. Going back to Saturdays match, have you seen this picture Both props at arms length - now that's impressive. I wouldn't read the rest of the articles, I suspect they might be slightly biased ![]() One more thing, what do you Aussies make of this [This message has been edited by Staralfur (edited 06-18-2001).] |

![]() Well I hope they will be anyway, because that will make up for the lack of opposition when Steve Waugh's boys sweep the Ashes series again ![]() ------------------ ![]() |
