Larry concerning stun, there are many fairly accurate, and more concrete ways of expressing a stun than rulespeak, getting suckerpunched and having the wind knocked out of you is essentially a stun, getting kicked in the jimmies (for males) is another. limited action, focus and balance are pretty key to it like you've said above. good description Larry

I've also repeatedly made known my desire for Larry, Dplax, and a few others to roleplay their characters the way their characters would react to a no-name NPC, ie do not pull punches because I'm a PC, this is a game, and although character death hurts, it is by no means a game ender, or even a fun ender.

this however is also a two way street, if you ever meet Reaper or another one of his minions, they will react without regard to PC, NPC distinction.

Thanks for the added clarifications, Morgie. I think you said it even better than I.

And btw...The Reaper is quiet for the moment, but not forgotten. There is a place in this game for him...and the players will soon be discovering this.

*nods* no problem. Part of the problem with the games are that they lump "hold person" spells in with "stun" spells, the effect while similar in the rules, is quite different for the person experiencing the effects.

The information on the orange-ish armor was taken from a post by Legolas in the first discussion thread of the game, about what the Inquisitor wears. If that is different at the moment, I'll be happy to edit.

And a question: how strong is the net?

It's accurate. As for the net, apparently it's fit to hold a raging were-tigress. I believe that at the very least, it means that if the tigress escapes and eats you, you get your money back

I'm treating the stun like a paralysis because Marcos, at the moment, doesn't really think of moving. He has been given a power word and is trying to obey it.

Arcades, I might be joining you shortly what with all these people trembling in their boots at the thought of an immobile paladin

And Cyril... Well. Now that would be telling, eh?

A QUICK NOTE

We're coming up on the 3 year anniversary of the game. Larry, that means we've been working on killing each other for quite a while now!

BTW - Next week also marks 3 years since the Windbringer's first appearance on the boards, and one way or another I'm looking to have a dead giant for that celebration ......

Three years. Wow...That really sounds like a long time! Three years of Official LoF action...I hope nothing happens to this forum or we'd lose three years of blood, sweat, and tears.

wow, three years, it's been that long. I have always looked at stun as you can use your faculties, i.e. thought but nothing else, momentarily frozen kind of like a coma. Your mind can go but the boddy is a limp prone noodle, hehe

So I was stunned for a round, will that round be over before or after the skellie moves?

At this time, you are still stunned. The skeleton is moving, and heading toward Marcos...but it is not going to get there in an instant, I expect it to take like 1/2 of a round or something. Keeping time is easier than trying to explain how much time is actually left.

I'll post the time when it is time.
