Verrion Sieg 24/24
Verrion opened his eyes, and looked around to see Drusalia on his side. He pulled his head closer, kissed her on the forehead, and proceeded to lie, stroking her back.

Drusalia 22/22
Faironi started singing outside and that made Drusalia remeber that there wasn't only her and Verrion traveling alone. Bending over for another kiss she whispered to Verrion. "I think I shall act as the food-bringer this morning." - with that she opened the tent flap and went outside of the tent. "Good morning Fai! I'm off to hunt something for breakfast. Do you want to come along?" |

Fairioni nods happily, apparently in a good mood "Sure!" before reaching down to get her bow where she had put it "I suspect the others still need time to wake up, anyway" |

Drusalia 22/22
"Let's go then!" - said Drusalia collecting only her bow and quiver of arrows and heading off towards the west. |

As the pair ventured towards the darkness, the gloom overtook them, shrouding them from the sunlight. Entering the depths of the forest, the eerie beauty took on an etheral appeal, nature's charm ghost-like in the moist mist, tree-casts shadows blooting out the sun, leaning a chill to the otherwise still air.
Being more attune with nature, both Fai and Drusalia felt the change, though a human or other may have missed it, although a ranger or druid most certainly would not have. They were entering a deeper, darker part of the forest; not as ancient as where Aln'aeor had resided, but this place held a presence of its own, as though the very forest around them was aware of their presence. The trees themselves were all darker shades of greens, browns and not a single light hue was in sight. Many trees held dark crimson and blood-garnet leaves a startling contrast, whilst others held deep almost sapphire greens, or azure-emerald, so dark were they. The forest glade's floor itself was covered with moist moss, dark and dank, all blends of green hues, and fungus dwelt beneath the mighty boughs of many a tree. Small rocks littered the ground, and more then one had been worn away by the elements. Here, the snow never touched the ground, nor any element save rain. It was not a malious presence that the forest radiated, however, but its aura was powerful within its own right, and they stood within another 'heart' of the forest, much unlike the milder dwelling of Aln'aeor. The gushing of a stream alerted the two to the presence of water, fed by underwater flows, leading to a long lake. Following the twisting, curving stream by sight, the pair could see that the mouth lead eventually to the lake, and set within, an island, upon which green weeping willows, and the darkness of this section of forest ended. The lake itself was frozen over and snowflakes gently drifted down and touched the ice, freezing into it, adding to the growing layer. Here, the sun shone, though abet dimly, the mild light enough to radiate and illuminate the area with gentle streams of yellow, but not enough to heat or even dim the chill on the air. A snarl behind the two caught their attention, and two gleaming tusks of a wild dire-boar emerged, the large creature staring at them intently, its eyes belying an intelligence that was seldom seen in its lesser cousins. The tip of its head reached the bottom of the half-nymph's breast, and its body was twice as wide and twice thick again to the frail elf's. If taken, it could feed the party for a month, possibly more. But more then this, it was dangerous. If it had magicks of its own, neither knew, only that they had stumbled unwittingly upon its terriorty and from the snorts of clouded breath, it was waiting for them to make the first move... |

Drusalia 22/22
Drusalia tried seeming friendly to the animal and started sending friendly thoughts towards it. She knelt down to look less menacing towards the beast and started speaking to it in elvish, a peaceful language, trying to calm it. OOC: trying Animal Empathy. Skill is 11 (with +6 CHA bonus) |

Fairioni looks at the wild boar curiously "Is this your territory? I'm sorry if we accidently stumbled on it, but we were just looking for some food." Fairioni seems either obvilous to the threat or geniunely treating it like another intelligant life form that understands wrong actions taken in good faith "But, we were just curious about the lake and the island over there" and points to it. "Would you know where we can find food or anything about the island?"

The dire wildboar just grunted, and stared at the pair, not moving a muscle, Drusalia's empathy seemingly having no effect on the beast.

Drusalia 22/22
Drusalia stood up slowly and started backing away. "We mean you no harm. We shall leave your territory if you want it." - she backed a few more steps, never breaking eye contact with the creature. Then she spared a glance behind herself. "Over the ice to the island?" - she asked Fai once she turned back. |

Fairioni nods, her eyes eeriely devoid of emotion, almost as if some part of her is shocked, and another part surprised that she is shocked. "Over the ice." she confirms.
