Question Mark

OOC: no offense here ironspike, i just don't want everyone to get mad at me cause i'm so busy. posting in cloudy's cafe in gd is easy and fast, posting in an rp takes time and a whole lot of thought process.

The speedbag held out longer than the Get thought it would, it lasted for nearly five minutes under his furious onslaught, he thought it could only last two or three.

Martin got up and examined the marking on Mercedes' calf, and then he walked over to a large floor to cealing mirror and walked through it. The surface of the mirror rippled like water for a moment. A few minutes later he returned, and said "Miss kitty, it would seem that brand is even more brightly lit in the penumbra, the shadowrealm that paralells this world, while I could see only a dim reflection of you there, the symbol glowed very brightly. It may be a beacon for other of these hunters or just a signal flare to let our own enemies identify us more easily."

ooc-no woz spike, we can't all be laughy cheery wolves
"I'm sure others like the one who branded Mercedes here would know immediatley that she has been touched, even if they can't see it." Zorana looked thoughtful for a moment, apparently trying to put some pieces of an idea she had together, "I wonder, is this new enemy after only lychans, or other supernatural beings as well?" She tapped a slender finger against her lips as she absently considered the mark on the werecat's calf.

OOC: Guess thatll teach me to apologize for my character, and to backtrack a bit, what Get of Fenris could possibly be annoying Whoops, didnt mean to make a mistake like that.

IC: As the speedbag broke Eric uttered a silent curse towards the shotty worksmanship of american products. The sound of a conversation reached Eric's ears as he was about to move over to the barbells. "Might as well see what those fools are talking about," Eric grumbled to himself. He walked in and heard Martin speaking "...It would seem that brand..." As he listened to Martin and Zorana speak he began to think of his homeland and those who no longer lived when suddenly a terrible question crossed his mind. "How were they able to mark you," knowing full well that even the lowliest Lychan was a force to be reckoned with, and Mercedes was by no means a lowly Were-Cat.

Question Mark

OOC: or a lowly were-kitty!

IC: "one hand on my calf is all it took to leave me marked. it happened in the heat of battle. but for this mark, he no longer has a head." the gleam in mercedes eyes gives one a feeling that she relives the ferocity of the fight with the telling.

"i was hunting those taking down my land. stalking them like a ghost on the wind. this one, only one saw me. he called to my instincts and distracted me from the rest of the humans. he was strong, he was not easy to overcome. i believe he knew his end was near when he burned my flesh. i believe he left it specifically to warn others. i believe he regretted calling my attention to him. i cannot tell you the look in his eyes when he died. but the taste was fear!" when she finished her short story her neatly kept nails were dug into the upholstry of the chair, her teeth set in a very satisfied grin of vengence.

"There is little else more satisfying then ripping an enemy apart with your own claws." Zorana agreed with Mercedes, "However, if that mark is indeed a warning to others of its kind that you are dangerous, they may group together and try to eliminate the threat you pose. Now I think they would find that to be quite difficult." Her grin was wolfish.

Eric absentmindedly let his hand slip to a dagger sheathed at his side while he listened to the others speak. "Well whatever they are, they are going out of their way to kill our kind. And I am not going to be branded by them like cattle. So I suggest we get some equipment and take the fight to them." With his little speech over and seeing it had less of an effect than he wanted Eric let out a roar and smashed a nearby end-table to pieces with one mighty blow in hopes of sparking the spirit of battle in his new comrades.
