Sent you my character sheet, Cyril. Will post it here afterwards for you other to see.
![]() @Morgeruat, I didn't make a Paladin, though, but a whole new character. Wasn't able to find a good way to write one into the story. Besides, some variation would be good for me. |

After checking on some of their powers, like disapearing into the earth, and reforming elsewhere, I would say that as long as it can contact the earth it can "see" anything in contact with it, thus their problems with airborne creatures, so it wouldn't be "blind" so much as slightly hindered.

Sir Exxon: I sent back a few notes on your character. He looks good to me. Welcome to the game. You might want to touch base with Larry about writing yourself into the battle.

I have received the PMs of Legolas and Sir Exxon. Both have asked me to create an entrance for them...so I shall try. If I take too long, then just work yourselves in.
Edit: I suddenly realized how to easily work the both of you in,,,and I hope you like what I have done. Thank you for getting invloved and having workable characters in which to play. [ 08-24-2003, 09:50 AM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

Legolas and Exxon...Great to have you posting on the game! If I don't kill you, then I am sure Cyril will. So...let's see what you've got!
I have realized that Legolas's character has been wandering for a few days, getting lost and wandering in circles until he luckily chanced at the right passage and has just now come upon the cavern battle. Therefore, Sir Exxon's character would have noticed the circles of prints in the dirt, and realized the gladiator's wanderings...but would be good enough to pick up on where the pattern broke and found the new area. Therefore, let's say that Exxon's character is behind the Gladiator by about 10 minutes. That way, the both of you can enter the melee basically at the same time and there will be no argument over time passing. Is that cool? Both of you are coming upon the battle from the rear, and I expect that you will have the initiative to make the first strike against the Grimlocks, or whatever you aim to hit...and then I will post a resonse to that attack. By the way... Gladiator, Kethotar, and Shadow...How perceptive are the three of you in battle? How close to detail would you notice things? Post here, so Cyril can see it as well. From his ability scores I'd imagine that the gladiator (want me to send the character sheet to you as well?) is somewhat better than your average person at making correct judgements, but it's not as simple as that.
The main thing to remember is that he is a man of the ring. The fights there aren't necessarily fair, but I doubt that the gladiator would ever have had to face more than three or four enemies at any one time in a great many years. Also, since distractions can be deadly, he has had to learn to block out the crowd, their cries and movements. On the other hand, the blur of a sword speeding towards him caught from the corner of his eye is bound to get a reflex out of the man. Finally, he wears a helmet as part of his gladiator's outfit, and those things tend to create a sort of tunnel vision. I think it's safe to say that the gladiator is unexperienced at combat on a larger scale and won't be able to make much sense of it without concentrating hard. He'd tend to draw a pocket about himself and concentrate on only a few enemies at a time. Of those individuals he does fight, he should be able to judge the fighting skills fairly accurately. Does that help? |

![]() Now...as for the stats, you can send me a simplified version if you like.
