She was not ready for that. She fell into Sorsha and held onto her for support as she cried into her shoulder. After a moment, she stepped back and said,

"I...I was coming to warn him of the betrayal of Snake...our friend of old. Bazguul had taken his heart and mine to, but my arrow has placed Snake to an eternal rest...and I was coming to warn you all of the evil of Bazguul and his lackeys. I ...I have failed my friend by not arriving in time! Alas! He has perished, and I am alone in the world!"

She reluctantly turned and began to walk away, as though that were her only option in life now.

The group watches helplessly as the pretty thief stumbles blindly on, their spirits sinking by the minute. It seems as if Fate has sent the whole works of evil doings on them all, and every single one is infected by the sense of doom.

Wordlessly, they begin to walk on, more or less agreed with Dalben's plans. Yet a few of them dart glances towards Azure, much disturbed at this turn of events. Finally, Dalben calls for a halt ~ "Those who wish to follow Azure should do so. I will bring Sorsha to the temple by myself, if need be. Make your choice."...

GALADRIA"Dalben. I deem it my duty to accompany yourself and Sorsha to the temple, or whereever. If she decides to pursue her destiny, I shall follow her, but if she retires to seclusion, then I must hold my duty done, and I shall pursue other quests."

Moves to the front of the group, and extends a gloved hand to Dalben. "I will go with you to deliver the lass to the temple". She glances at Azure, and frowns slightly, thinking...............

Do take care! Sorry if this next post is a bit hasty... I am flying off tomorrow and will be away 2 weeks. So I think it's best if I dump my characters and let the rest of you continue as you please

Having more or less come to a consensus, the party now makes steady progress, leaving Azure far behind. Sorsha begins to fidget with the reins of Sunshine, who has recovered remarkably due to some magic potions of Dalben's ~ Am I being wilful? Causing all this trouble? Yet it is precisely my wish to train myself up so that I can join the rest in our later travels... ~ Yet the ultimate question still remains ~ Should I seek my rightful place at the throne? ~ Unwilling to decide, she shakes the thought away.

Soon, they arrive at the entrance of the temple, and Delita gives a steady knock. The group notices how he has gone all quiet, wondering if there is something the matter with the chivalrous knight. With a low creak, the door swings open and out steps a holy priestess.

"Greetings, my good lady. My friend here..." ~ Gesturing to the timid Sorsha ~ "... wishes to be trained in priesthood. She is keen to offer her services and to learn. Would you accept her?"

"Of course. She seems sincere enough, and that is the most important factor." ~ The priestess bows and leads Sorsha into the sanctuary of the temple...

The remaining members now look among themselves rather awkwardly, then realise that Dalben has vanished before they are aware of it!

Wishing she could have talked to Dalben more, she now leans on her staff, looking at the remaining members of the group. "I would still travel with you, if I may..." ~she pulls out a silver amulet with a bloodstone in the middle, and wraps it around her staff, the chain melding to the wood instantly~

BLANDAMOUR (To Azure) "Wait, pretty maid. I would not have you go off by yourself. Jaime was your friend, and ours also. Should you not consider traveling with us for a while? I am Sir Blandamour, of the Order of the Radiant Heart, and would warrant your safety. If you seek revenge on this evildoer, would it not be better to do so with allies, than by yourself?"
(He turns to look at Galadria, and his heart is gladdened by the sight of her fair face, her bright blue eyes glowing as she looks quizically at him. Her short blonde hair ruffles fetchingly in the breeze, out from under her helmet, her heart-shaped face set off to perfection. He does not know when he had ever seen anything so fair.)

GALADRIA (She sees him staring at her and blushes, unused to the attention of any man, save in battle, only. But, from him, it is not unplesant. She, in her turn, admires his muscular form, taller than she, his honest, open face, his grey-blue eyes that could darken in an instant, and admired too the qualities of leadership that had led to victory on many a stricken field. She returns his smile.) "Was there any thing that I might do for your Lordship? We seem free to wend as we would. Let us visit the forest of Mourn Tathir, where I have heard rumor of an ogre that is harassing the countryside. Or, does our duty call us elsewhere?" (to TAO) "Dear Lady, if my Lord, here, knows of nowhere that we are wanted, you are free to travel with us."
