Red is Zeppelin's Battle of Evermore -- about the Lord of the Rings, of course.

<font color=orange>
In the magic garden
some were singing
some were dancing
while the midnight moon
shone brightly overhead

The stars so gaily glistened
and the sphinx in silence listened to
the magician tell of
lives that he had led</font>

Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late
I've done a bit of smugglin', I've run my share of grass
I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast
Never meant to last, never meant to last
</font>

HA! I know that it's not the song that you posted, TL, but that lyric reminds me of the Arrogant Worms' song "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate."

I love that song...a farmer whose land was repossessed becomes a pirate on the River Saskachewan, and plunders shipments of grain

This one's been out there a while. I'm giving the 24-hour notice. If no one answers it, I'll replace it with a new one.

Hint: 1980's hair band hard rock ballad. Great piano bit.

No one seemed to know <font color=green>green</font> so here is a new one (BTW it was Ambassador by swedish prog metal group Evergrey):

<font color=green>"I linger in the doorway
Of alarm clock screaming
Monsters calling my name
Let me stay
Where the wind will whisper to me
Where the raindrops
As they’re falling tell a story"
</font>
