Hmmm - wow, I've never seen those last two for sale - I'd love to try it if I did! (And any other cheese - okapi cheese, capybara cheese, platypus cheese, etc...)
They should make hard goat cheese... It should be possible...

They should be able to make any kind of cheese from whatever mammal's milk they're using, but they don't for some reason. I guess it's all about finding a market for it.
When we were in Minneapolis, I tried yak cheese. ![]() |

Well, not sure about platypus cheese (might be possible, though)
![]() As for meat... Every mammal/reptile/amphibian/bird meat tastes like either beef, pork, or chicken. ![]() I have heard of qigong causing children to automatically become vegetarians (vegans) (they can no longer tolerate meat and barf it back out), but it is just hearsay...

The book "Beyond Beef" has the same effect. After I read that in college, I was vegetarian for a number of years. Now, I guess I've sold out my ideals.
![]() I do only eat organic, free-range poultry when I'm buying it for home. I should pay better attention when I'm out at restaurants. Portland is pretty cool in that there are a lot of restaurants that sell only organic, free-range meat. ![]() |

Japan is very bad at this, to say the least - I tried to be a vegetarian for a few weeks here, but that didn't end up well (there just isn't any vegetarian food here, unless you cook everything yourself).

There are several vegetarian restaurants in town, and everything else has vegetarian options. Though, for the record, I do cook the vast majority of meals for us. I think I eat out about twice a month and my wife about a half dozen to to 10 times a month.
I just talked to my neighbor. She's working as a nanny, and the kid she's nannying is having a Lord of the Rings themed birthday party (it's a girl none the less) where everyone comes in costume. Being that she is going to be towering over all the 12-year-olds at the party, my neighbor decided that she's going as an Ent. ![]() |
