Maybe in keeping with the design contest theme, tree wallsets or other foresty stuff might be useful.

Not a bad idea. I"ve been saying forever that I wanted to do a tree wallset...

I've been wanting to do one for a very long time, too - but they're so freakin' hard!

One thing that has kept me from really getting into doing one for the default art is that Tarlanon and I decided a while ago that all the walls should be in the default format. Bad news when it comes to trees and other 3D things.

I guess it will be a good challenge.

Yeah - it does make it harder. (Still, as I only understand the default format, that is also the one I will try to do it in... someday.)

I much prefer Dinonykos' hyperwall format. Or, as I like to think of it, tall walls on steroids.

I have done some trees in the default format. They are certainly not as convincing as the others, but I like them anyway. I'll try to find them and post them.

That would be great. I started on one last night, but I'm not liking it so far...

Also, I've been thinking that if I were to do the shop it will take more than I thought to work properly. You could show a picture with some text easily enough with the examine command on an item in your inventory, but having a dynamic shop, as in one where the picture inventory changes based upon your purchases would be much more difficult. But I don't yet think impossible. I have to look into using GPDL as a conversation engine (something I haven't tried yet).

Hi, ST.

I don't think it would be impossible, but it would be a lot of work and use up a lot of space- you would need many different images to represent all of the states that the store could be in if it were to reflect each different weapon/item combination that's possible. We'd probably be talking in the gigabyte range just for this event, if let's say you only had 20 items in the store.
