Weekly weigh-in... down another 3-1/2, which makes 29-1/2 all told, and my first 10% gone
![]() Now, to get working on that next 10%... one of my new friends will help, one-point ice cream ![]() For those interested, Edy's makes a fat-free, no-sugar-added ice cream. Not many flavors, but chocolate/vanilla swirl is one, and even my kids like it In other news, it took more than four hours to cut the grass today, thanks to a break in the action for Corbin's Cub Scout Raingutter Regatta. He came in second in his group, and having finally seen it for the first time, I can see ways to improve performance next year... if there is a next year, that is...

Congrats again Bungleau.
Weather is so nice here. In the low 80s, so relaxing and comfortable..but alas, a front is coming through tonight lowering the temps to the 60s. What sucks about it isn't the cooler temps, but the barometric pressure. I'm in headache world right now. My headache increases literally as the temp goes down from this front coming in, as I get barometric pressure headaches. Oh I'm OK though, for now, tonight. When they took out the ephedrine from Tylenol Sinus because of the meth-making a-holes, I found a grocery store that still had 2 boxes on the shelves, so I grabbed them up. I figure I'm good for maybe 2 years barometric headache wise now because of that. After those 2 boxes run out, I dunno what I'll do. Nothing else works on my barometric pressure headaches (which are also migraines btw) but those pills, or something big like Vicodin or Percocet. I really curse those meth people that ruined a perfectly good drug to help sinus barometric pressure headaches, legally, and a drug that didnt' make me tired or anything like Vicodin, etc. does. Of course now I'm kind of hyper now because I took that Tynelol Sinus with Ephedrine, it makes my heart beat fast. Never have liked that symptom of ephedrine and obviously that's a big factor in making speed or meth with it, but whatever makes the heart beat fast also kills the headache, so what can you do? If I could take out the fast heartbeat thing and get rid of the headache, that would be the ideal thing. But I guess the pharmaceutical companies haven't figured out how to do that yet, because the new Tylenol Sinus is completely ineffective. Rant over sorry LOL. Had to get that out, cause each time I take one of those damn discontinued Tylenol Sinus pills I'm that much closer to the day I run out and then have nothing. Oh I can go to a doctor re my headaches, have before, but from prior experience I end up being a guinea pig for unsuccessful misc. new drugs. And I wonder if I could convince a doctor to just prescribe me a bottle of, say, 20 Vicodins. It would last me a year or two, but some docs look at me and I swear I think they think I'm trying to scam them for pills. Blah. |

I would think that if you have a long-time doctor, go there. I would think he/she would know what the deal is.
Sounds like something might be going on in you inner ear. I remember as a kid I had a similar situation (of course that was right before the meningitis & incephalitis almost killed me), and it had to do with my eardrums/inner ear. They did something to relieve some pressure there, and it never happened again. That summer I went to Boy Scout Camp, did the mile-swim (twice), had a blast. Came home...*BOOM* 106 degree fever. That was NOT a fun summer. But at least I'm immune to all illnesses now.

Bungleau, the Edy's Slow churned ice creams are almost all two points/svg. We've been having those for over a year now, when we get ice-cream urges!
![]() LadyZ, I agree entirely about the idiot druggies who made it impossible for people to buy over the counter meds that help headaches/sinus problems. Of course I'm more irritated with the people who made the rule that I can't buy it without practically giving them a fingerprint now, because let's face it, the illegal drug makers will still get it, but I've got to hand over my license and stand around feeling like a criminal to get some sinus headache relief! Blah! Well, we've had a BEAUTIFUL day here today. Sunny, mild and lovely! Except for the HIGH pollen counts! Whoo! In the 2000's! Aaaaaaaaaaaaachoo! Oh and Wendy, Jim sympathizes, becasue he's had a headache most of the day from all the pressure changes.

In Chicago today... was 91 according to the car thermometer when I got out today, and 93 by the time I got to the hotel. Wowza!

Yup, LadyZ, I liked both of the movies and we were thinking of popping Aladdin in again sometime to watch it a second time. Just saw Merlin and enjoyed it alot, so yup, you done good, sis, with the recommendations!
Hit the high 80's here today but I was up in a courtroom doing grand jury duty all day. Seven cases... eef! Long day, am glad to be home now, just in time for the thunderstorms to hit us!

Was 86 here today, but with low humidity so it really didn't feel like it at all, felt actually very comfortable. Will be nice tomorrow for a bit as well it seems, then it all crashes down to the 60s again. JUST like what happened Saturday night when I got that headache. Man I hope it won't turn into a repeat performance!
Good luck Cloudy on another day of Jury Duty. I just wish you luck, and interesting cases LOL. Not boring mundane traffic cases like I got! Of course I lucked out and people were chosen before my group in one case, and I was rejected in the other because I work in a law office. ![]() |

Gotta love the warm weather... 'twas in the upper 80s when I left Chicago this afternoon, and cooled off to the lower 60s by the time I got home. Saw the news, and apparently I got out in time... along the roads I took, there were 60MPH winds and 1-1/2 inch hail stones...
Back for a couple of days now... enjoy life, all! And be sure to find something to celebrate!

I'm celebrating the fact that tomorrow is Friday LOL. Hoping things will warm back up to the 70s this weekend! No headaches from the temp change, yay!
Man gas prices went up again, ugg. When spring and summer comes it always happens, gotta hit up the vacationers! |
